Wolf stopped and sniffed at the air a low growl coming from his throat. Melody looked down at Wolf then around the area to see what had upset her friend.

The wolf's hackles raised and he moved protectively in front of the woman.
Melody looked to Drake then lay a calming hand on Wolf. She watched Drake as Wolf moved back to her side and went quiet. "Hello, who are you?"

Drake looked her over, using his doglike character judgement to be sure of her. "Drake," he said after a pause, "And you are?"

"Melody, and this is Wolf, my friend and protector." She answered, laying a gentle hand on the wolf's head.
