It is a sad morning. Yesterday we noticed that Clara the blue partridge brahma was oddly quiet. We brought her in last night and made her comfortable, she had good colour and no obvious symptoms beyond a slight wheeze and just sitting quietly. We were hoping it was a cold and she would be improved by morning (a few days indoors and some tlc often works wonders) but she was dead when I got up this morning. Our much loved brahma cockerel Lovejoy died October last year and now his lady Clara is gone. I miss my big fluffy brahmas, the flock looks wrong without them.

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's hard to lose the animals we care for :hugs

I'm sorry for your loss. Like the other posters said, its a difficult loss, especially when we raise them from day one and become their "mama". Lovejoy and Clara are now back together, hopefully that thought will bring you some small comfort.
