After a less than fabulous turn out from Belt hatchery (Excellent birds, terrible C.S), I ordered from Ideal the last of my fledgling flock. I have 10/3 Danish Brown Leghorns on thier way. Yes I am aware of the rooster issue, (2 australorps/3 DBL) but I want to be able to pick the best one of the boys.. I have no problem with having sunday dinner
I am excited.
That brings me to:
13 DB Leghorns
6 Light Bramas
10 Australorps
6 Black Jersey Giants (I think, wasn't charged for them)
2 Partridge Cochins (one died)
3 Silkies, white
4 White Crested Black Polish
16 eggs in the incubator from onthespot, 3 days down, 18 to go!
I am glad I have a lot of room!! They have to stay cooped, because natural predators out here are C R A Z Y
