The wolves then began to follow, but a old male wolf told them to stop and not follow. The wolves nodded and came back and went to go protect the other females and pups.

Summer nodded and continued. "My dad was alpha and he tried to chase off the humans. Although mother had been shot she managed to lead everyone away from the humans, except for dad. They killed him." Summer let out a long sigh as a tear ran down her cheek. "Mother was very weak. She collapsed on the ground as she lay dieing. I tried to run to her but my leg caught in a steel trap. All the other wolves were caught in the traps too. Nearby I saw a young innocent boy wandering. I called to him because I knew he was my mother's only chance. He ran to her and knelt beside her. He pulled medicine out of his pocket and held up her head to drink it. The instant she swallowed it she collapsed in his lap dead. He poisoned her! His father came up to him and patted him on the back. I couldn't believe a young boy would do such a cruel thing.They packed up all the wolves and drove away. They left me their saying I was 'too small to eat, and to small to skin'. I've never trusted anyone since." Summer turned her head away from Tyler and sobbed silently.

Tyler looked at her "I'm so sorry for your lose Summer" he said

"Thanks." She whispered, pushing away her tears. "I still have a scar from the trap." Summer pushed back her sleeve to reveal a wide zig-zag scar pressed into her skin below her shoulder, that wrapped completely around her arm. "That's why I limp when I'm a wolf."

Cole watched for a far and wondered how he would get her out of this pack.

Maddie was still wondering around the forest, when she came across a bunch of wolves. She rolled her eyes at them and knew she would rather die than help wolves, but then she thought Maybe I could do something to help Jade? Maybe I could get a pack and start a new are with those idiots at Tiny's pack? then she began to quietly chuckle but stopped and went to speak with them.
