Summer backed up into the corner. She huddled there frightened. Summer tried to keep still but her heart thrashed inside her chest, and she couldn’t help but shiver in fear. The cuff crushed her arm and she winced, but kept her eye on Joshua. She watched him and held her other arm in the air shaking, for Joshua to take. She was very scared, but she knew it would only make it worse if she fought him. She looked back down at her arm as blood poured down and hit the cold ground.

“Stop it dog!” Hunter stood up in front of the door and watched Tyler. He looked around to make sure there weren’t any other doors or windows. There weren’t except the only door that he blocked.
(The arm that's wounded is the same arm that has the scar from the trap. Can Joshua see the scar when he rolls up her sleeve and recognize her?)

"No, Sniper had a mate but it wasn't me. The Leader of the dogs was a female and her mate was Sniper Jr. He really didn't love her, but he told me that he only wanted the power of being on top" she said thinking about him.

Cole groomed Star and knew that him and her would be together this time.

She looked up at Joshua. She began to recognize him, “You’re the one…” She remembered what he looked like when he was younger, as she pictured him laying her mother in his lap before he killed her. Remembering her mother made her miss her so bad it hurt. “Please, don’t. I’m not as brave as her.” She leaned against the wall and closing her eyes whispered, “I wish I was.”
