Sara looked at Lucinda then to James and smiled "I see" she said then went back up ahead "We're going to split Lucinda, Dalton, James and I will go after a deer the rest of you will go after elk or moose" she said

The group nodded and the wolves left, beside Lucinda and Dalton.

Sara looked at Dalton and Lucinda "You two know how to take down a deer in the quickest way, but lets see if James can bring down a deer" she said as she came over.

Dalton grinned and chuckled "Love to see if someone from Abe's pack can hunt for themselves and don't need saved" he said

Lucinda bumped Dalton "Leave James alone" she said

Dalton gave Lucinda a funny look.

Sara sighed "Come on you three" she said then began to walk.

Dalton and Lucinda followed Sara too.

Sara sniffed around for a deer then found a trail and began to follow it.

James silently padded beside Sara, and then brached off through the brush, till he came to a meadow where two bucks where locked fighting. He slowly circled around, picking out the weaker one. While they where totally preoccupied with their battle, he crouched closer, then ran and leaped onto the back of the weaker buck, he grabbed ahold of the back of the neck, but only grabbed skin. The buck started to run with him dragging from his neck. Then the buck tripped over James' back leg, falling down long enough for James to sink his teeth into the throat and ripping out the jugglar. The buck convulsed and then was still.
James looked over at Dalton,"Now what was that about Abe's pack needing rescued?"

Sara, Dalton and Lucinda came over and saw. Sara smiled "Good job" she said

Dalton chuckled "Good for a mutt" he said

Lucinda rolled her eyes "I think that proves himself, but there are some tests he could take to really prove himself" she said. Sara shook her head "You know Wolf wouldn't let James do any of those things" she said
