Niko trotted along beside the rivers edge, putting his paws in the water occasionally.

Wolf and Ki talked for a really long time, then they went to an old den site and looked around.

Niko saw that it was getting dark. He picked up he pace into a jog. He needed to find a den for the night.

Niko quickly found a hollow tree. He went inside and curled up into a ball. He fell asleep.

Niko woke up early the best morning around 5:00 am. It was still dark out side so he stayed in the den grooming himself until it got light.

Wolf was already up and out for a run, he didn't want to wake his friend up so he left Ki to sleep for awhile longer.

When first light finally hit he got up and went out. He went to the river that was almost right beside his den. He drank some water and started to run. It would take him all day to go where he needed to go.

Wolf continued to run, then he got to an old den that had some small paw prints on the inside wall of the den and something else next to it. he looked and smiled and remembered his years as a pup.

Niko ran until he got to where the river vended. He knew he was closer. He let out a quick howl.
