Cole listened carefully to the plotting of these wolves.

The pup yipped as it nuzzled up to the male that was familiar. That wolf smiled "I can't believe it's been a month since his mother died, it makes me sad to know he'll grow up just like I did, without a mother, but at least he do have a father, unlike me" he said "Have I told you Hiro, that My parents were two of the strongest wolves out here, well my father was part wolf, part dog, and my mother also had so wolf, but mostly dog. I was lucky that one of their followers took me away from the battle with that evil female Tiny and her gang" he said then  licked the pup.

The wolf with the missing leg and scar nodded "It is very lucky" he said "So shall I go on with the plan then?' he asked. The wolf/dog nodded "Go, and make sure to lie about your name Hiro" he said "I will Sniper" he said then tried to run to Tiny's pack.

Niko chatted with his father. "Niko," His father started "go back to Tiny." His father had a concerned look on his face. "No, I can't. She doesn't care about me." Niko said with a hint of sorrow in his face.

Milo sighed at his father and left. He trotted toward where Cole was. He sensed something was wrong because of what his father had said. Niko then realized he should pick up his pace to a run.

Once Niko got to the den he noticed Cole wasn't there. He smelled for him. Then he howled for him. He followed his trail and waited for a response.

Niko then saw wolves across the river. There were three of them. They hadn't seen him yet but he knew they could smell him. He crouched down behind a bush and watched.
