Why is it that as soon as I put eggs in lock down I become a nervous wreck
barnie.gif
and time seems to slow down down down down
caf.gif
. I stare every few mintues and fret just becuase the eggs just lay there doing nothing. They can lay around and due nothing for the first 18 days no issues but as soon as its lock down Im a mess. Yet when hatching starts to really pick up it seems the time flies by.
Am I completly crazy or do you all have the same problem

No I don't have that problem, at least, not until the first pip. Then all I do is stare at them. Lately though I keep forgetting to write down the dates and then they start pipping and zipping all over the turner. I have that issue right now 2 broodys and one big incubator, no dates down.

Whoot we have pips we have pips
wee.gif
, I checked about 6 ish and one egg had a pip

looked more like a crack but I will take what I can get. I checked again a bit after 7 and two more eggs were pipped

Oh and I almost forgot I have them on my hatching channle on ustream the link in my sig should still work let me know if it dosnt . So far youll just be stareing at eggs

Those are Jumbo brown quail eggs . I got them from emvickrey there are 29 left out of the 50 that got shipped and giveing the shipping and the incubator issues I have had I think thats really good.

They look beautiful. can't help but notice they have a lot more room in that picture than in the setting eggs picture for the June 3rd hatch a long. Did you get rid of a bunch of eggs or did you switch incubators to hatch?

They are in the hatcher . The rest of the eggs are in the other incubator. Though I have less in there now as I candled last night and got rid of most the bad eggs. I put 29 of the jumbo brown eggs into lock down in my wally bator / hatcher.
Wilma bator has as of right now
11/11 cuckoo marans
7/20 Sweedish flower hens
3/8 Norwiegan
8/12 serama and D's
20/35 mix lot of eggs
8/12 local barnyard mix
15/20 chukar
16/20 bobwhite
So its still pretty full just not as full as befor Ill get a new picture soon. THe mix lot , barnyard mix, chukar and bob whites go into lock down on the 20 th then I will really be down to less eggs.
I love the little yellow one
