"Its unfortunate that we had to come to this," Thunder purred, putting a sharp claw on Attollo's chin. "But I must do what I must."

"You won't get away with this!" Helen snarled, trying to yank her paw out of the cuff, though her attempts were futile.

Attollo tried to back up, but his back was already pressed onto the stone column as far as it could. His eyes were wide with terror. "Stop it," Sylvia yelped, "Why are you doing this? What do you want?"

"Oh, its quite simple," Thunder said, turning to her, "your complete loyalty to me."

"Leave her alone!" Helen yelled. "Take me instead!"

Rocky's eyes widened in surprise at Helen's remark.

(Sorry, my computer's being REALLY uncooperative)

Sylvia wanted to wilt under his gaze and pledge her support. But she steeled her nerves and yelled, "Never!"

(Don't worry :) )
"Then you will pay the ultimate price," Thunder said coldly, his voice losing its silky touch.

"Stop!" Helen shouted, then her voice became very quiet. "Just let them go, and you can have me." She avoided eye contact with Rocky, who's jaw had dropped to the floor.

Sylvia looked at Helen. Don't, she thought. Thunder had to be a hundred times as powerful as her, and Sylvia had a terrible feeling the chances of escaping were slim.

"Oh really?" Thunder smirked, "you'd even raise a claw to Rocky?"

Helen's eyes snapped open wide. "No..." She thought.

Rocky sighed deeply, "its alright, Helen. We have to do what we have to do."

"No!" Attollo and Sylvia both screamed. Sylvia tried to summon something, anything, but she was much too drained from blasting the door open.

"You guys," Helen snarled, "don't make this any worse than it already is!"

"Such a daunting decision," Thunder taunted them.
