Calliope cantered up to Favonius, "Have you seen Alektyra?"
"Um...I told her you and Neptune were out in the woods a while ago and she acted like you tried to murder her," he said sheepishly.
Calliope growled, "I have OTHER friends. I am not going to look for that stupid poultry hybrid, she can find herself!"
Calliope stomped off, completely ignoring the bird and hoof tracks leading in the opposite direction.
"I thought it was the stallions that fight..." Favonius muttered to Rose. The fox tapped her paws across the ground like she need to hop on something.
"My friend, you have seen Alektyra and Calliope out of action for much to long," she said.

Jerome gave an icy glare at where Calliope had gone as he was padding by Favonius and Rose. "While she and Neptune have a tea party, we're going to do something useful, like think of a plan to rescue Senkah and the sky guardians." He muttered, stalking off to a cave where Reika lie.

Favonius perked up "And he's not the only one," he muttered, peeking around a few trees.

Incendia, Neptune, and Noeta were talking.
"Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?" Neptune growled at Noeta.
"I'm never in the mood to discuss family problems," Noeta grumbled, "But I'm serious about this!"
"Young minds aren't always naive," Incendia hissed, "You really think we can get a creature already loyal to Thunder to spy for us."
"I KNOW my own blood when I see it," Noeta insisted.
"If your brother is as dark as you say he is there's no telling what she's imprinted off him."
"I can do it," she protested.

Jerome sat by Reika and their new pups, speaking in hushed tones with Greta, Noctus, Hades, Charon, and Nyra.

"Are you kidding?" Jerome snapped quietly, "you think that Nikki would betray us? She's Lefty's own pup, for Glaux's sake!"

"I swear I saw her by Gajou," Nyra said quietly.

"Tomi's own son betrayed us long ago too," Noctus added. "I don't think we should put it past Nikki to betray us." He sighed. "In this war, as terrible as it is, no one can be trusted."

"Even more so with that Attollo impostor fiasco," Charon said, but he was cut short when he saw a shadow at the entrance to the cave...

"Well..." Incendia said, truning to Neptune, "We can always try..."
"What if she exposes something else? What if Noeta gets captured in Futago Pass? Noeta, I know this couls help but some of the risks..."
Noeta straightened, "I'll do it whether you two want me to or not! I see a chance to spy on Thunder's army and I'm taking it!"
"Have you told Rose about...your kin?" Incendia asked softly.
"W-what?" Noeta gulped, "It never came up."
"Noeta," Neptune said, "Have you told ANYONE except for me and Incendia?!"
Noeta stayed quiet, "I haven't talked to him since he joined Thunder..."

Ever so slowly, the shadow crept closer. If I can just get this mission done... Thunder will give me Senkah's power. She licked her chops, smirking.

No one else noticed it, but Jerome did. He scrutinized the growing shadow, looking at Reika and everyone else to excuse himself. "I'll be back... I just need to... check something..." She got to his feet and padded to the entrance. But the second he disappeared behind the rocks, the shadow leapt upon him. It was Ebony (formerly Domino)!

She bound his legs and tied his muzzle shut with a rope. "Stupid fool," she hissed, "you fall for things like this and expect to defeat Thunder?"

"MMMM!" Jerome tried to yell, but it was futile. Scoffing, Ebony swung him by his leg into a boulder, knocking him out instantly with a deafening *CRACK*.

Ebony charged into the cave, diving for one of Reika's pups. The black and white pup, Luna, cried as Ebony wrapped her jaws around her throat. "Stay back, or her head comes off!" Ebony snarled. Hades, Charon, Reika, Greta, Nyra, Lexie, Willow, and Haylei froze. Ebony smirked, perfect. With lightning speed she turned around and unfurled her wings, taking Luna with her. She appeared as merely a shadow for a second passing above Noeta, Neptune, and Incendia, before she was swallowed up by the darkness of the night. Reika let out an immense cry.
