The Life of Dorothy-The VERY Spoiled Cross Beak

Dorothy is a 15 week old rainbow layer. She has a pretty severe case of cross beak (scissor beak). She is absolutely spoiled rotten by myself and my family. She gets wet mash three times a day which she demands be made into small little mash clumps for her
She is 100% our special girl, in more than one way!

This is Dorothy today. She was demanding more mash clumps by pecking my leg but I was busy and ignored her so she jumped right up.
“MOTHER, why are you neglecting my needs?!”

An interesting update on Miss Dorothy. When I made her mash earlier, I felt her crop before I put her back into the run. It wasn’t super full but it was noticeable. Well, when I went out to make her mash again tonight I felt her crop and it was WAY more full. Which tells me….shes able to eat regular food way better than I thought. Little stinker has us fooled
