    10 Dangers of owning Chickens.

    1. They are addictive like crack once you start you wont stop.

    2. You will find yourself spending alot of money, New protective wire,New chicken coop,New waters and feeders,Tons of food,OH I need a new NEST BOX! (The girls could sure use it) Oop's I got off track.

    3. You find yourself waiting on the mail to run with your box of newly hatched chicks.

    4. You start collecting eggs (NOT TO EAT) but to hatch to build to your already growing flock.

    5. You and your Mate start having relationship problems because you spend more time with the chickens then with them.

    6. You find yourself calling them your babies and your childern.

    7. They poop on you and you laugh and thank god that the poo is a Normal Chicken poo.

    8. You will search the internet for 24 hours or longer about them and pictures of other breeds you may want.

    9. You dream of your chickens, being very excited for your new girls to start laying soon.

    10. YOU ACT LIKE ITS CHRISTMAS WHEN YOUR YOUNG HEN LAYS HER 1ST EGG!!! While your screaming and jumping your neighbors think there is something wrong with you...LOL

1 - yes! I got my first chickens March 2009 (12 hens and a rooster). I currently have over a hundred now, plus 40 Cornish chicks in the basement.
2 - yes. Several hundred dollars. [IMG]
    3 - yes!
    4 - yes!
5 - no, I'm not married, I'm still living with my family. But there's been several arguments about me spending to much time with "chicken stuff." That probably counts... [IMG]
    6 - yes!
7 - not quite there yet, LOL!
    8 - yes!
    9 - yes!
    10 - and yes!

LadyWoodsong: "Chicken math" is a joke on BYC. Chicken math is full of addition and multiplying, never subtraction or division. [IMG]
