The little chicken who will...

49 days later. She doesn't like to be fussed with, so it was hard getting a good picture. The part in red is that weird nub thing she started growing from the get-go.

Day 66.
Even tho I've been keeping an eye on it, I just thought these were her nape feathers. Nope! Her back that had no skin is feathered!

She's looking awesome!! Thanks for the update...

I have no idea what that last pic is of..especially to have 3 in one day.
Maybe someone will chime in.

I know they are lash eggs. Not sure what to do about them.
They are freaking disgusting.

So this past Wednesday we moved Consuela and her cage back out to the coop. And since we are in Michigan and it's been awesome weather, it snowed and got cold.
BUT, we put her out there anyway with Maria. They were ok at first; we gave them each thawed corn and layer crumble, then went next door to take care of the horses.
I went back in the coop to get the bowl Maria had been eating out of, and they were exchanging words! Consuela's bowl was flipped, feed spilled and they were chicken growling at each other from across the coop.
Later that day I checked on them again, and they were cooing at each other.
When we check on them everyday and they are getting along and seem happy to have each other's company again.
But Consuela needs to stay in her cage until the weather is nice enough that they want to go outside in order to get away from each other.
