Chapter 44

This did not make sense to me... how could Emma posses a deer body?
"But-how?" I asked her confused.
Lilly then butted in. "Mommy, Mommy! Emma is the girl in your story!"
I looked at her and half smiled then nodded. I turned my head back to... Bambi/Emma.
"I..." She started, "I.... Well once I went up into heaven I wanted to see you again. God gave me a new born baby deer for me to go in. I was so happy! But once I knew you wanted to go off into the forest to have your own babies I knew... there was my chance to get close to you again. I barely knew how to use this body too. Once I met you I knew it was too soon to speak because it'd be overwhelming... you know... finding out its me. Hannah... I really can't stay here for long. I only have 3 months to be in ths body! And one month is scratched off already. So I only have 2 left and then a new baby will posses this body."
I looked at her with mixed emotions. I was happy and mad at her. I was also relieved to hear her! Well her voice was a bit different now...
I couldn't believe it was really Emma! My Emma!
"Emma..." I began, "I..." Tears welled up and rained out.
"Now, now." She bent her head down to my face and I hugged it.
I couldn't speak because of the tears bursting out from my face. How will I be able to tell Ethel and Pepper that this deer is Emma!? Will they think I'm crazy? Or will they believe me? I shaked the tears and tried to speak again.
"Emma... how will we be able to tell Ethel and Pepper? They will think I am crazy!"
"Oh no, I am not worried about that! they will believe me once they hear me... even though my voice is sorta different."
For some reason I trusted her on that. I gave her one last hug and tried to get things settled.
"You should tell your deer friends that they can resume their natural lives."
Emma did so and they went off into the forest, never to be seen by us again.
I spoke again. "Well why don't we keep heading home and chat on our way? Oh and let's look for some water... I am still very thirsty."
Emma agreed with me and me, Emma, Rose, and Lilly headed off to our unkwown adventure... again.
