So sorry to read of your loss of Scout. Going back to the party must have taken a lot strength.

I too, lost my first chick, only 5 days old, on Monday. She and the other 11 were fine Sunday night but Monday morning she could only stand for a few seconds. It wasn't long after that she lost her fight. Unlike the other posters, I haven't a clue what happened, but realize these things do.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your sweet Scout.

Of course you love her, and you have come to the right place, with all of us chicken lovers too. I'm sure she will be dearly missed, but always remember those sweet memories.

Oh, I'm so very sorry. It's so hard.

I had to have the vet put down one of my favorites a few weeks back. I don't care if they are just a few months or few years old. If they die of natural causes or accidents. It's just so difficult.
