Connor crowed at Stone. (when is Eagle going to crow?)
Eagle, puffing out his chest, let out a long, deep masculine crow that had all the females looking his way. Flower watched him curiously.
Connor rolled his eyes at him. He let out a crow just like any of his crows, just longer.
Eagle crowed again, his crow still much deeper and longer than Connor's. He smirked at Connor. Flower watched Eagle.
Connor rolled his eyes once again. He flicked his head and flapped his wings. He let out a beautiful, long crow though still not as good as Eagle's. He hoped that Flower would pay attention to him.
Flower glanced at Connor, then went back to eating berries.
Eagle looked around, wondering if Cherry had heard. Ash was conked out in the sunlight so he didn't think she had.
Cherry was watching Eagle the whole time. Her mouth had even dropped open a little from how good his crows were.
Connor also went back to eating berries. He hoped that Flower would pick him as a mate, but there was a thought in the back of his head that she would choose Eagle. And the thought would not go away.
