"But they're suspicious for no reason. I'm a chick-saver! Whoo, me!" She pumped her wings in the air. "You're great, Henri. You've been so nice." She grinned.

“Okay,” Snails wondered where they were going.

Golden led her to a nearby stream, There wasn’t as much snow along the bank, allowing easier access to the food below.

One with chickens as black as night, who kill animals and each other." She shivered. "But that's the only place I can imagine spindleberries growing. It's dimmer and darker."
