Wren fled back to her own burrow, hunkering down with Mist and Stone. Fern covered them with her wings.
Snowberry and Raven ran out into the clearing, seeing the big brown speckled snake weaving back and forth.
“EVERYONE INTO A BURROW! ANY BURROW!” Thundered Snowberry. “BLOCK THE ENTRANCES!”

Splash slowly opened her eyes and saw the hens in front of Ruby's burrow. They were all freaking out. "We should probably stay in here to be safe," Splash replied while backing up with her kids.

Fang blinked gratefully. "You won't have to see them, at all! They'll stay up here." Fang gulped. "I just needed to tell someone. You know how frizzled I am when I have a secret and haven't told anyone." Fang gently picked up the babies by the scruff of their necks and placed them in the empty egg, and then put it in the corner, making a stack of feathers for warmth.
