Soon four of the six eggs had hatched. Minerva cooed to them all. Lily, Star, Octavius, and Orion. Two more to hatch. She clucked to the other chicks, encouraging them on.

Finch ran out, tears streaming down his face. He sobbed, and tripped over tree roots and ruts. He ran on and on.
