Posh was excited. She had a good meal earlier, but she was still extremely skinny. And the thought of another good meal warmed her heart.

Tiny twisted a berry off the bush, gulping it down. She looked at Poshy.

“I feel you. Winter is hard.” Titan began digging in the snow, trying to reach the grass that laid underneath. He uncovered a beautiful juicy sprout, hidden under the white sheet that encased the earth below. He ripped it out of the ground, and placed it at Fern’s feet. He made a high pitched clucking noise while pointing her to it.

Fern snapped it up, blinking in gratitude.
