"Hello." Said Nightshade, turning around. "Come on in." She smiled another charming smile.
Flower nodded.

Lucky walked in. She wasn't sure exactly what to do so she just sat down again one of the walls.
"What's it like to have chicks?" She asked.

Lucky nodded slightly. She didn't think she'd be a too happy as a mother but Flower seemed to like it. She noticed that Nightshade was also in the den and tensed up slightly.

(Wasn't lucky kinda suspicious of Nightshade?)

(Yeah but I'm toning it down a little since I realized that Nightshade is so careful, there's not much for Lucky to be suspicious over.)

"Wanna meet the chicks?" Asked Flower. "I'm waiting on an egg to hatch, but I have two chicks right now."
She pulled Drizzle and Thunder out from under her.
Nudging Drizzle forward, she looked at Lucky. "This is Drizzle. She hatched first."
"Hi," Squeaked Drizzle. She ruffled her pale gray, slightly curled feathers.
Flower then nudged forward Thunder. "This is Thunder. He hatched second."
The dark gray, smooth-feathered chick looked up at her with round, pale blue eyes. "Hi!" he said.

"Yes, they're absolutely adorable." Said Nightshade, grinning. A hint of creepyness slipped inot her smile. Flower and connor, watching their chicks, didn't notice.

Lucky's smile faded when she saw heard Nightshade. Why did this hen seem so odd to her? Was she the only one to think this?

Lucky felt a little awkward for staying in Flower and Conner's den for so long so she decided to leave as well. That's when she saw Nightshade slip into the woods. She decided to follow her.

Nightshade trotted off into the woods. She soon spotted a doll's eye berry plant. Very poisonous. But she instead collected the wild bilberries from right beside them, wrapping them in leaves before discreetly tucking them under her wing.
