We sectioned off part of the run to keep the big kids from the meaties with cattle panels covered with chicken wire.
It works quite well. It's nice to get them out of the garage.

They have a twenty by thirty foot area to run around in.
The big kids do come by to check them out once in a while

I had a setup very similar to that with the same type of fencing (hog wire & chicken wire). The only difference was mine were in an old hog barn. I lost three to predation. I assume the victims stuck their head through the wire. I went back and put two foot high hardware cloth around the bottom and the predation stopped. That night they returned and even knocked over some tools and stuff I had left up by the fence just to see if they came back.

I have chicken wire up 2 feet high on the outer fence. On the outside all the way around the fence is an electric wire about 8 inches off the ground.
I hope that's enough to keep critters out - so far so good
