Don't click on this ' VIEW new messages envelope at top of your Screen. its NOT your BYC private message icon. You'll also see that your computer needs a scan to prevent or speed things up. Don't Fall for this. You'll end up paying for something and having tracking cookies, or have to try to get rid of the downloaded material. Don't know Why BYC needs this on their site unless its for Funding.

Yep. Basically, if the message moves, don't click it. If it's colorful, don't click it. If it tells you your computer has problems, don't click it because after that your computer probably will have problems.

Nifty has been trying to get these ads blocked, but they're elusive. Your best bet is to educate yourself a bit.

I was aware. Confused me for a sec the first time it came up, then I realized it was just an ad. BYC is always working on blocking ads like that. As a GFM, you can turn off ads though. Yes, BYC needs ads for funding.

We all pay for memberships levels don't we? but maybe that doesn't cover enough. Maybe everyone doesn't take the minimum memberships to help with the cost.

No, BYC is a free site, and anyone can use it given they veiw the ads. Golden feathers and Platinum poultry are the only people on the site who pay.

Thanks for the post and for your patience as we work to get these ads removed. We're trying desperately to find the ad network that is serving the ad and get them banned.

One thing that will be helpful is to get the URL that the ad is trying to direct you to and paste it here. Often you can right-click the ad and copy the link URL
