The Missing Heir RP

Connor followed quickly, kicking his horse to match her pace. He was so happy that Ariana was letting him travail with her, and that he would not have to be near the whiny diplomat anymore. She looks lovely on that steed... He thought, then scolded himself for it, "Ye fool, ye dost not even know the gal!"
Ariana glanced to him at his quiet words and raised an eyebrow. She didn't think he had meant to say that out loud and looked ahead again, though she spoke to him as they traveled. "What would ye know of me?"

Connor went brick red, he hadn't meant for her to hear that, in fact, he didn't know how she had heard, it was barely a whisper! "I dost not know anything! I mean, I just met thee, and now we'll be travailing together. Ah, my father would have never approved such a thing." He replied lamely, then added cautiously, "Ye have superb hearing..."

Ariana blushed and looked away for a moment then turned to look at him, letting her mare keep to the road "I am used to listening for the sounds of the animals in the forest." She said and made a vague gesture towards the woods then looked ahead again "I never knew my father."

"Nanami." She stood up and slung her bag ver her shoulder and turned Thea. "Now if you could excuse, I need to be somewhere."

"Pleasure to meet thee." Thea said as the elf stood, then asked, knowing she was being nosy, "May I ask, whither art ye headed?" She smiled as if to made her question innocent.

Connor nodded, "I am sorry, did ye have thy mother?" He asked, hoping she'd say yes, so the conversion would not be as sad, he was not very good with that type of thing.
"Aye, she raised me in the village." Ariana said and glanced back to the village they had left behind them. "What of thee? Ye mentioned a father, did ye have a mother to raise ye as well?"

"Yea, when I was little, but she was very ill for years, and she departed not long after I turned thirteen, father was never the same after that." Connor replied solemnly.
