I think if you have to ask if it's too redneck, it's just redneck enough. I can only imagine what the delivery men think of our place when they bring packages. Redneck, USA. One time, we watched a delivery driver set a package out of his truck onto the gravel driveway because our turkeys came up to greet him. They're friendly like dogs (mostly), but he didn't know that, I guess. We have so many free-ranging turkeys and chickens that it looks like the poultry version of Jurassic Park at my house.

I nearly had a heart attack! I thought I heard a chick chirping, and it was only a dang turkey poult. Why do these eggs hate me when I show them nothing but love??

Exactly. So if the microwave incubator idea is out, we need to figure out a way to channel your time-traveling capabilities for good. Like seeing how many of our eggs are going to hatch. That way, if we know we aren't going to get a good hatch, we can just buy more eggs, and so on and so forth. Until we have all the chickens, or run out of money.

I'm pretty sure I have convinced my husband to let me keep the incubator on a little longer. Thanks to a little boy and his new Ameraucana rooster, and his future offspring.
