Patent it and invent it. Otherwise I dont think a portable battery powered incubator exists yet. lol

Yes reds eventually with a full Wheaten base. Either way the first generation cross on Buff is going to produce wheaten/wild type splits. The incomplete Red Columbian would produce some incomplete columbians but also some usable complete columbians that are split for dilute (Buff). Either way it will take a few generations to produce pure Reds on a Wheaten base.

That's probably what I'd do with limited pullets and extra cockerels.
I'm already thinking about my buffs next season. Depending how many males I end up with and how they compare I might keep more then I need and rotate them around.
