You can call them Leghorn when the birds breed true to Leghorn type, size, and characteristics. Once the birds start coming consistently yellow legged, white ear lobed, laying white eggs, with a Leghorn body type and size, you can then call them Leghorns. So it depends on how you breed after the initial outcross.Are you thinking five to seven years till you get back to legitimately calling them Leghorn again?
