The Moonshiner's Leghorns

They have to be exposed to animals you wish them to guard from a young age. We didn't get goats until the past few years, so Bear had never seen a goat before. He was always a hyper and playful dog, definitely like daylight and dark to his brothers, who were all mellow and calm. He must have gotten excited when he saw the goats and played with the goat until it keeled over with a heart attack I guess? All water under the bridge now, but I like keeping a goat in with my dogs just in case. A lot of our neighbors have goats.
My brother keeps donkeys in his goat and pony lots so the coyotes won't attack them. They hate a canine so he's never had a loss.

Why would someone want to "get" a gopher? Are they harmful?

Ah, according to ChatGPT, gophers can destroy lawns. So that is why someone would want to trap them I suppose.
Their holes can break a horse's legs for one thing.

So I'm assuming the gophers do not survive the "gettin," correct? As in, it's a trap? I have never heard of a "Gopher Getter." Why would someone want to "get" a gopher? Are they harmful?

For us, it’s a mole trap. We don’t have gophers. And yes, they can destroy your lawn. They reuse the tunnels. Set that bad boy over one of his tunnels and he comes through and triggers it… watch out Mr Mole!

I wonder if this would work on a fat groundhog. He has been digging huge holes under the barn that fill with water during storms. He goes from the outside, under the feed room, and into the far stall. And you only find out how thin his ceiling is when your foot goes through it.

He's a smaller fellar but home safe now. Did cost me a 20 but in great shape. Super clean inside and a perfect seal.

I knew it!
Lol, I think everyone should of.
In other news I had to go to the big city (which is actually really a decent sized town on the outskirts of the city) but ya where you see the damnedest things.
A real live Tesla Truck pulling a beater trailer loaded with cr@p. Not like scrapper stuff but like landfill trash. Would that be some kind of oxymoron or just the regular type moron?
Wish I could have got a pic but I was driving and passed it going the other direction.
