The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Break time while I'm waiting to pick up the boy.
Had I quick errand to run this morning so bit of a late start. Leveled the spot for the freezer. Then added a 5 gallon bucket of gravel, leveled again, put pallet down, checked with level, moved freezer and got it set up. Looks sweet but if I'd learn to do more half a$$ing I'd get more things done in a day.
Oh well. Finished chick house window and got it installed. Moved mudroom chicks down there. Quick cleaned their water trough brooder and now have soapy water soaking in it so when I get home a quick brushing and rinse. And I'll let it dry in the sun while I'm feeding and watering then put it up for the year.
Plenty more things I want to do but I don't know what I'll start next. I'm sure by then I won't have much daylight left. I moved all those cockrels the other day so that pen can hold more. I got another cockerel pen that I'll move some of the biggest ones over from then the next oldest group is cockerels and pullets so I'll pull some of the biggest males from it and move.
Throwing new boys in with established groups may be interesting. I know it should be a disaster but we'll see.
Need to do a bit to the pen I'm moving the calls to for winter and get them moved sometime. Need to cover the end of those pens and the other end where my roosters are. I may just go with a cheap tarp on both sides to save time and be done with it.
Idk beyond that for now. Beautiful day though. Predicted 64° and it's 70° right now.

The Federal Government wants to kill 1/2 million barred owls for threatening the spotted owls out west. Their reason is the barred owl is a better hunter therefore its a threat to the spotted owl
It is Barred Owls we have here in Kentucky that was killing my husband’s chickens he said. Not GHO.
