If I crossed a white leghorn to something other than a white leghorn, hidden genes could pop up?

If you cross a white leghorn it's gonna pass on one dominate white gene so say to black you'll get like a paint. It's gonna depend what's under the white and what it's crossed to.
Dominant white doesn't cover gold tones so a white leghorn won't have any of those hidden and when crossed with something that will produce something that express those they will show.
