A++
Brahma mix?
Yeah, it looks like dominant white with red underneath bleeding through? I'm not sure what you'd call it. I don't particularly like it.I can see some Columbian going on but not straight buff.
Aren't all of his BC mother fluffin'?To bad you don't have any MF BCs. Those would be the eggs to send.
That bird looks much more like a Salmon Faverolles cock bird.So this one had the gold neck instead of the silver like the other picsView attachment 3404334View attachment 3404335
Mhmm.NONSENSE!
And it doesn't bother you if you don't work on each pen every year?I'd figure out how many eggs I'd be comfortable setting and raising chicks from. Then figure out by how many eggs I could collect from each in 6 or 7 days.
That would tell me how many groups I could do at once.
Then ya if I could tell them all apart at hatch that would work. I have projects that can hatch several different looking chicks and projects that can hatch the same as other projects. I need to keep my physically separated most times in the hatchers. Sometimes I can put certain projects together.
That's what I have to watch. What can I hatch while not getting them mixed up.
Lol, I didn't think you for judging.And it doesn't bother you if you don't work on each pen every year?
I'm honestly not trying to judge, it's an actual question. I just never thought about letting a pen just sit until Colt mentioned just not hatching eggs from my marans since she was penned with my araucana.
Okay. That's a good.way to look at it.Lol, I didn't think you for judging.
But yes it bothers me almost every day. The exception is on days when I'm going to buy feed by the truckload and days I spend all day cleaning brooders.
I love hatching and the excitement to see what hatches from each group every hatch. But keeping it real I just can't do that unless I want to hatch like 2,000 chicks a year. I'm just not set up but that many breeding pens, that many brooders and grow out pens, etc.
And I don't have the resources to put that much money and time and to trying to raise that many chicks a year.
You might not need them but just get 4 just cos you never know when you might need themThat bird looks much more like a Salmon Faverolles cock bird.
