Lol I’m in Utah rn. I left the cold weather behind in WI, and paid for it in near death experiences on mountains. Okay I’m being dramatic but one mountain I couldn’t even climb all the way because I was blazing a trail in a very steep area.
And the other... 10 people died on that trail. Angels Landing...

the angels there you’d see would be biblically accurate, not the chubby baby type.
The switchbacks were bad enough but part of the way through the Angels Landing place with no real trail and sheer cliffs... I decided I was too attached to my life to go further.

I can see why you've gotten confused, because they're both the color buff. You don't usually see the color buff in hatchery birds that aren't orpingtons. In reality, orpingtons look like this:

While leghorns look like this:

As you can see, it's a very different body shape. Leghorns also have white earlobes, while BOs have red.

I was remembering this interaction so went back to see it and also showed my friend (who knows nothing about chickens) these pictures and I was like hey do these look like the same breed and he was like "No, they have different neck widths" And I'm just like: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Yep! Leg color, earlobes too. Comb shape too.

I'd say probably black, maybe white if the father is white
