To me Jack was gorgeous and didn’t have as much “shredding” as a lot of other Lavs so maybe that’s why I liked him better. But he was also from my first ever hatch and I never thought I would ever even have a rooster let alone breed from my flock and have his kids and grandkids so maybe that’s why I’m so attached or remembering him differently. Especially given that he died last year and then I recently had to butcher both his sons and my other favorite rooster. That was incredibly hard. I was a lot more attached to them than I was to Jack. Though I loved Jack too. At least I still have one daughter (other got taken by a hawk ) and all his grandkids
