I would think it’s easy to build a cabinet style incubator.

You need to know your max amount of eggs you want in there, first. Then draw a plan of how you want it. Then make a list of materials and tools you need to assemble it.

Tall cabinet style is inefficient in terms of heat distribution. But a large wide cabinet would work better. Only because heat won't dissipate as fast as a tall ones do.

And based on the size you finally agree on, it might require 2 heat sources with two fans.

The design has to incorporate space on the bottom for a water well with easy access to it.

Then there's the digital thermostat that will control your heat sources.

The fans need to be wired to a plug, cause they need to stay on all the time.

Generally heating sources need to be placed near the bottom only because heat rises, this way makes it efficient.

My diy incubator always reminds me of a easy bake oven, set and forget it. Except during the turning of the eggs. 😆

I've never made a cabinet style incubator, only portable ones that can hold 12 eggs. My incubator is slightly large to accommodate my hand going inside it. But I understand how convection should work and all the requirements that is involved.
Convection? WTH is that? I thought it was a type of oven.
Speaking of ovens. True story. I once sold some eggs (shut up everyone, It was when I was a teen) to a woman. She had a hovabator exactly like mine at the time.
She ended up calling me wanting to know how high I could get the temp in mine to go and if there was any secrets to getting it hotter.
Mine easily got to 100° and I never tried to max it out to see. I didn't understand why she was having an issue so I started asking questions.
I quickly found out she wanted her's up to 300°. She said if you set it at 100° and it takes 3 weeks wouldn't they hatch in 1 week if you could get them at 300°?
