The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Since I don’t have my breeding pens built yet, it’s everyone loves everyone. But, somehow I do have some chicks that look like those mottled ones. Although some people said last year I had a mottled from my babies, they were wrong. Maybe the gene is hiding in mine too???
Heck, ive got all sorts of things hiding in my pheonixes, anything is possible

Ya I had it hidden in what used to be my main barred rooster. I used him for a few projects and he passed it all over sight unseen.
I used a son and bred to some mottled hens and produced mottled offspring. It was a bonus because I was suspecting it take me another year to get any but then I traced it back to the source and realized oops I've probably got it in a few other project pens now.
I'll need to test breed and sort it out at some point.

I found the post from last year. Chicken poppy had me convinced he was mottled because of the bib, but this is my solid black roo that I’m breeding right now.
