The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I've incubated them years ago. They hatched well but I hated that they take about 35 days.
Now I just let them hatch their own. They get out of hand. They are sneaky at hiding nests anywhere and every where. I found a dead one earlier this year because she was trying to nest in a milk can and apparently got stuck inside.
They'll hatch 2 or 3 times a year.
Perfect, thanks!

Now, how are Jacin and Vivian doing?

About seven hours later I now know more about Leghorns then I will probably ever need to in my life but this thread was an amazing read! It’s awesome to see what can be produced without outcrossing and I can’t wait to see how the nonsense program continues too.
Oh thank you. These posts are the best. I'm honored beyond belief when someone not only clicks on this thread but wades through it.
Ya if you can find a breed with a handful of varieties you can mix and match and go in many directions. That's what I initially made the thread for. To encourage others or just show what's possible.

Heck, this thread is what made me try leghorns. The racoon gad other plans though. Otherwise I never would have my two remaining gals

Unsure which pen they came from?
Neither rooster shows any amount of leakage? Has any of their previous offspring? Have you kept previous offspring until grown?
Looks like some are carrying a different pattern underneath. I've down a lot with black/duckwing. The adult females can hide duckwing really well but the roosters not as well. The chicks had to have got it from both sides so one of roosters and at least one hen is to blame.
Well since I didnt get a single brown chick last year they must be coming from my new cuckoo pen.....
The Roosters dont show any leakage that I can see.
This is the first lot of eggs I have hatched from this group so no I havent grown out any chicks yet.
