The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I assumed Leghorn would be the best bet. I just don't want their combs to be hideous. I really like the Silver Duckwing.

Those are the only variety available in the US that I am aware of. The ones you're calling Gold Duckwing are labeled as Black-breasted Reds on Feathersite. Is that the same thing?

Honestly, I don't want to pay for Deathlayers. Everyone I know with them has health problems, and people around here charge way too much for them. They are higher than a giraffe noshing on the devil's lettuce. Comb type, egg color, size, and leg color also make me lean away from them. Deathlayers are a larger bird.
Its’s red duckwing, actually.

Lol, I'm not getting into that mess.
I don't know the Buttercup pattern genetics well enough to really help.
Trust what Amer says. She knows things.
Boo! You'll have to send me eggs, then. lol Or recommend somewhere to source decent birds. I wouldn't mind playing with the Silver Duckwing for a bit. White and Black might be easier though. Amer, whenever you're ready...

So back to the question at hand, would I breed Silver Duckwing Leghorn males over Buttercup females? Or? I don't have anything but the Buttercups but if it's worth sourcing some Leghorns I could. Or maybe I just send Buttercup eggs to Moony and he does all the work. lol
Use both ways, then cross them together.
Both silver and id+ (which causes slate and willow legs) are sexlinked.
