The Moonshiner's Leghorns

You are very mature for your age. And your genetics knowledge is impressive for a 20-year-old. I only knew you were young because you told me you were in college and just recently left home. :)
She has a brain unlike some youth today and she put in the work to learn genetics.
I had to do things the hard way and learn from doing. Every now and again I wish I could enjoy reading. She definitely outpaced me.

Mmmhmm... I thought the other Millennial on the floor was going to cut her. lol

We joke about it now. I'm like, "remember that time you thought I was old enough to have menopause? Good times." 😆

It's because I was raised by my grandmother, so I talk like an old Appalachian holler woman.
Oh wow haha

That is super funny though. I probably would of asked her if she's had a period yet. But that's just me.

I'm trying to learn chicken genetics and she has been a big help. That girl has got her PhD in chickenology already. lol I like seeing younger people who are into chickens and poultry and have a passion for it. It reminds me of me when I was younger. I gave a pair of turkeys to a high school 4-H student a couple of months ago and the look on her face was priceless as I watched her eyes light up when she heard the tom gobble. It was really sweet. I will give a hundred birds away to see reactions like that.

I have always been a big chicken nerd, but didn't really get into the genetics side of it until I got a little older. I only hope to understand a fraction of what @Amer knows. She is a human encyclopedia and her chickening is top tier.

This is why I was "stalking" her, I know when I read her posts chances are I will be learning something. I also like Vorwerk chickens so when I saw her mention them I wanted to have a look :)

I can't math or genetics

all just so confusing

I can make chicken coops tho! I'm pretty sure that makes up for it. And I just rely on the minds here

It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. I couldn't build a coop if I had to. When I grab the drill, I think my husband panics that I'm going to jack something up. He can build the coops, I just tell him which birds to put where and with whom. lol

We have to be nice to the babies at work. Nurses shouldn't eat their young. She didn't know any better, bless it. lol
Oh I know. Same at my work. Idk how many times the boss has told me don't make the kids cry.
Apparently telling someone to do their job is a bad thing.

Wow! Thank you!

Well, I'm sure with all your experience you were less surprised by my stripey EE chicks than I was.
Thanks you too!

Well, I hope some day I will understand turkeys as much as you. Your Facebook comments have always been a big help to me.

That more than makes up for it. I'm sure that being good at carpentry would help me a lot more at my d'Anver breeding endeavors than all my genetics knowledge...

I see a lot of winterized pre-fabs in my future... That and premade garden sheds. At least until I get the money to build a fancy shed, or I luck out with a nice garage.
I can operate a screwdriver and a wire cutters. I can measure a board. I understand how to operate power tools but I'm not sure if I can be trusted alone with them.
I definitely don't know how a support beam works.
