The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Got the Silver Ginger stag moved in with the Brown Leghorn hen today. I got put on call at work so went ahead and took advantage of that and got him moved. Hopefully I will get at least a couple crele chicks off the Legbar out of eggs I currently have set. I don’t have a lot of time left before my husband wants to turn the incubator off so I have to get while the gettins good.

Naomi, Laurel, and Waylon. Naomi, the one in front, is the best dog ever. She has been reliable with livestock since she was a year old. She is always by my side.

Do you have another pen of barred birds you are working on? I like the look of the blue/black leghorns probably better than the barred. My vote would be the blue rooster. Got pictures of them?

I took probably 3 dozen pics over 2 days and none are worth a d@mn. I think I'm going back to taking pics of my TB. At least it holds still.
Most all of my barn pens apparently are lacking enough light to get pics. I have a little box/pen thing I made for pic taking. I can use outside when it's a day without clouds and pouring rain.

I took probably 3 dozen pics over 2 days and none are worth a d@mn. I think I'm going back to taking pics of my TB. At least it holds still.

I've got a pen set up with a single barred gene blue rooster over two barred hens.
I've got plenty of blue and black girls but only a few blue and black boys.
Only the 2 barred females that I'd breed but several barred boys.
I'm not a fan of splash. Lots look almost like whites so...
Maybe I should put black males with blue hens.
Blue males with black hens
And a few black and blue hens with barred boys.

I'm used getting 1/2 a bird or blurs but these last ones were just too dark with and without flash.
