The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Thoughts, anyone?

Okay I have that Trailblazer. Was on a gravel road the other day dodged some potholes but hit some washboards. It developed a rattle somewhere underneath after that.
It only rattles when the vehicle is moving and of course that makes it hard to locate when I'm in the vehicle making it move. I'm thinking jack up the rear end put jack stands under the rear axle so the back tires are off the ground. You see where this is going?
Get in start it give it a little gas and set cruise control. Then hop out and try to find the rattle while the back wheels are spinning in the air.
Brilliant or I've lost my mind thinking it'll work?

I have zero mechanical knowledge but if the jack fails, that could get interesting. lol

Hey I read what was in the spoiler and I hate reading so.....
I see what you're saying but it's not all a bad thing. It'd be a way kids could learn those lessons and in a way that they could get the message without it being like lectured to them if that makes sense.
You'd just have to add enough goofiness or adventure or whatnot to keep them invested.
I'd read that kind of stuff to my kid or have him read it now days and then it'd open the door to deeper conversations.
Recently I told my friends about my earliest stories I made up (started in elementary school, probably perfected in middle school) and they told me I needed therapy.

Hopefully your son is less of a troublemaker than Little Timmy.
I wrote a story about this white Leghorn chick named Little Timmy who chose not to grow up because he was upset about how his Mom abandoned him and ran off into the woods after she hatched him and he refused to respect his dad Harold who wanted to raise him or any of the foster broodies that wanted to take care of them, instead, pranking all of them and shooting off fireworks. All he really wants is his mom back. And he had a friend fox in the woods, a female fox cub named Foxy and this friendship was forbidden by both the hens (who said foxes eat chickens) and Foxy's mother (who said foxes are supposed to eat chickens). Foxy begins to grow up, and so do the other chicks, but Little Timmy, by sheer strength of will, still looks like a day-old but has more mischief than 10 cockerels put together. Eventually, he goes deeper into the woods because he desires his mother's affection and he finds feathers. Foxy's mom had eaten her the night she left. He finally accepts his mother's death and decides go grow up. His relationship with his father improves but he still remains friends with Foxy.
The thing is, I am well adjusted and nothing like that ever happened to me. Just, from a young age I thought my stories needed conflict. The whole Timmy story was birthed out of a comic where Little Timmy would try to sneak away from his caregivers and cause mischief.
I think the reason I came up with such a story is because in elementary school I was reading stuff like the How To Train Your Dragon series, Warrior Cats, and Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and they are all so dark I wonder why they are marketed to children. 🤣

Well it's gonna be my if all else fails plan so...
But ya I was thinking jack stands under the back axle. Maybe I should also stack up a few 6x6s or something to double up my safety 🤔
Ya that's my concern. D@mn thing falling and either running over me or taking off across the road and heading for the woods.

You know there is a geeky adult audience (like me) who love poultry that it would appeal to. You may even be able to find an animator to collab with and you could do the narration.
I actually can draw but I don't have the patience to do a full animation
But that was Slate and here's Acorn

@TesoroSena has a published Turkey book.
Tes come and tell them about it.
Wow! I'd love to see that!

I read a book called The Great Turkey Walk and it was one of my favorite books ever but it was more of a Antebellum/Wild West historical fiction than a turkey book.

I'll wait for her to show up to the tag and see if she wants to share but ya I bought it off Amazon back before Christmas.

I wrote a chicken story or two once. They're on the forum somewheres.

Chock the front as well.
Just make sure it doesn't vibrate off the stands

Ya I figured that but haven't decided what to use. Needs to actually be of some use but if it does take off its gonna run them over so nothing that tear up something underneath. So not like a huge rock.
Not sure how to "Make sure it doesn't" kind of won't know if it will until it does if it does.
Maybe I should look for a YouTube video. Surely someone has done this.
