Ooh I love the abstractness of it! Its beautiful. I love it when you can feel the breed’s personality in a portrait. I want to do a color pencil of a Leghorn. My favorite thing to draw is single combs and rooster faces. I love their expressions. I think drawing a big Leghorn comb would be highly satisfying.

I actually really like drawing bird wings. They're satisfying because they are supposed to be difficult, but if you get a system it works.

They're so fun to draw! I need to get to everything else in the standard now. I've got all the turkey varieties, did a guinea (all the varieties are the same so I think one will do)
Working my way through waterfowl...

What about a peacock? I bet that would be so much fun to draw.

Exactly, once you understand the different feathers and parts of the wings it's easier. I used to have dreams about flying. I always have loved birds. My spirit animal is probably a chicken.

I would be some type of protected bird of pray like a Bald Eagle so I wouldn't be hunted to extinction. lol

Ooooh I really love that. You captured it so beautifully. I love the abstractness of watercolor. I have never been any good at watercolor, I'm messy with it.
