You have to take them pretty far off to keep them away. Like multiple miles away.
Yes they came out of the University of Arkansas.Isn't there a line of blue laying brown leghorns out there somewhere? I think I remember some one on the fourm useing to try and create blue laying gold laced or silver laced wyndots.
Can't wait to see some Chocolate Gold Duckwings! That sounds amazing!Man I can not keep up with all this hatchings you all got going on.
I didn't get to do anything but chores yesterday but today I parted ways with about 3 dozen or a few more more roosters. Probably only have maybe 5 more that need to go. Just need to do some final picks of a couple varieties.
Then I got to move on to females. Ugh I'll hate letting very many of them go.
I saved one rooster from the chocolate project I started. He's extended black/gold duckwing and split for chocolate. Set him up with 4 brown Leghorn girls today. Be one of those hatch a lot to get a few if I'm lucky keepers.
There's a chance for chocolate gold duckwing females so if I get any I'll keep them.
We are expecting more storms and tornado potential weather tomorrow. Apparently, tornado alley has shifted, and Kentucky is one of the states included in it. As soon as possible, we will be digging a storm shelter.Stormy day here again which will continue all night. All day it's went back and forth from light rain to thunderstorms. Looks like thunderstorms from here on but only hour or hour and a half of daylight so no big deal.
All day every time it let up I ran out and worked on something until it'd pour again. Did get some things accomplished so now it'll just be TV time.
I need to see what a chamois spangled looks like. Sounds fancy. lolIll have to get pictures! One is a gold spangled, and the other is a chamois spangled.
