The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I just candled, and two of the eggs that were under the broody look like they're about 6-7 days along.

I've got 16 hatched from my current batch. 6 more eggs so maybe get a couple more.

Just counted out, day 10 and we've got 10 leghorns developing (with 32 eggs developing out of a total of 63 bought - for our third ever batch of hatched/shipped eggs, not feeling too bad about those odds!)

Buff Leghorns sound lovely! Congrats on the babies so far. 🥰 Here's hoping the rest are waiting for you when you get back home.

Are the buffs the ones that you were looking for?
I've always really liked the buffs. Have had them for years. One thing about that is that sometimes they fall to the back burner when the variety has been here a long time. Can't hatch all varieties every year.
Haven't focused on them in a few years and my numbers were getting critically low. Mostly critically because buffs are buffs and I don't have other varieties atm to get back to them.
Just trying to get their numbers back up this season and unfortunately seems I'm hatching about 80% males. Not good so I'm happy to see as many hatch as possible.

So, this must be the year for the boy's then?
