Moon Pies were a staple of ours for road trips when I was growing up. It was just about mandatory I got one going to the beach in the summer. Now I really want one!

Leghorn babies are about 5 days from hatching, 2 from lockdown! Really excited for our first.

Yes Moon Pies are one of the flavors from my childhood. lol

Always, or at least into October. or maybe November.
I have 2 more batches going and will continue setting every 7 to 10 days.
Bout to do my mid (although it's late) season switch up. Need to look around and see what's hatched and what I haven't tried to hatch yet and see if I need to switch some things up.

Update to say that raccoons do, in fact, love Moon Pies! It took two nights but just a bite of Moon Pie was enough to entice him into the trap. I’m sure the remaining pie will last another ten years or six raccoons, whichever comes first.

Did you slap him on a stump and axe his head off?

No i shot him. Tried to do it while he was napping but he woke up and hissed at me.
