How many more hatches you doing this season?

Is that the right answer @Chookwagn ?
I really don't know. It's so hard to quit.

Some Moony's decided that they wanted to see the world early tonight. They aren't due until Saturday, but I guess that they didn't want to wait. Thank you again @The Moonshiner .

Congrats
Ya Moonys aren't very patient. Seems the buffs and a few stragglers have been the only ones to wait until day 21.

Next batch go into lockdown Monday. That'll be the start of a couple other projects and discontinuing others.
Set some from that chocolate project last night. It's a split male so playing the numbers there's a 25% chance of something hatching that shows chocolate. They'll be females and the only ones I'll keep. Plan is to move anything not chocolate asap. I'll give them away or sell for $1. Anything besides feeding them long term.
In other news... if you missed it in this week's pics.....

It looks like all 3 of the BGD's that hatched early are a variation of coloring.

The bottom one has to be a splash GD. It does have more color then most I've hatched.
The middle one idk if it's GD or blue GD. The hint is the outer dark stripes on their back. GD are the typical dark stripes and blue GD have a blue or grey hint to them instead of dark brown/blackish.
The top one has me scratching my head. It looks like a Silver or blue silver duckwing. Unless I mismarked an egg idk what's going on.
The rooster is no doubt gold. I don't think so but maybe one of the hens is silver not gold. That'd make a silver/gold male that would appear silver.
I'll check that pen later.

In egg news though my daughter and sil came to visit today. They live in the area and when looking at the chickens my daughter was stunned at how many eggs I didn't care about collecting.
Long story short I explained a lot get tossed or fed to dogs etc.
They have a few chickens and said a neighbor friend takes their extra eggs into the city and sells them. He takes $1 per dozen and they get the rest. He's been on them that the demand far outways their supply.
They want to see about me supplying some. I'm definitely gonna check that out. Depending what he sells them for I may bump his cut to get him really on board to push maximum numbers. Could be good for us both.
