The Moonshiner's Leghorns

As feed goes I probably spend to much on a brand I like. I also get all flock and not layer. I spend about 22 to 25 for 40lb to 50lb bags. It's a few dollars cheaper than the purina brand.
Ya I can't be picky on feed or I'd be down to 20 or 30 too. I started driving a distance to get it from a mill. Was by far the best price. Bonus they actually did better on it then anything brand named I'd had them on. And double bonus they eat less of that layer feed then any other.
My local store has 40lb store brand feed that has been equal price per pound as the mill's layer but the mill has 50lb chick feed for what the farm store asks for 40lbs.
Time and gas for mill run so gotta get a full load to feel better about the gas money but I've been getting layer more often in town. They're also the place that has sales.
Don't slap me but 50lbs of layer is $13.50 and chick is $15

I’ve always used MFA feed, never noticed an issue. Goat and chicken feed always smells so fresh, price also can’t be beat, at least not down where I’m at.

I have two places three if you count Walmart. I don't like the TSC brand so I use nutrena. TSC or a Miller that's almost 2hrs away and I currently only have a 2019 mustang to get. I can 300lb to 400lb in the mustang at most.

That's hard-core. I used to have a little 2 door sport explorer. Wasted the back shocks in it from hauling feed.
Do you spread it out? Like a bag in passenger, few in back seats and most in the trunk?
I used to do that more so I could control the vehicle better. Winding, hilly roads here

In the trunk and passenger seat. Got a full 10 40lb bags in the trunk spread evenly. I won't do more than 350 to 400. Once did 12 bags of pea gravel in it and that was a bit much.
