I just use them for chicks after theyre a week or two old. Mine rarely see direct sunlight.

I'm looking into buying some of that shade cloth with those grommets in them so I can get them put up before spring. Those should help. The air can still flow through them, but they will block out part of the sun. I put one of those up a few year's ago, but it's starting to wear out.

If not how do you advertise? That farm paper thing? Word of mouth? Down by the overpass with a will sell chickens for food sign?

It was my chicken guy. I was going to put them in the market bulletin. I said something about it to him the last time he was here. He told me that he would pay my normal asking price for the year old hens unless I just wanted to sell them in the paper. So, today he came and got all of my extra cockerels and year old hens. I would never sit down by the overpass! That’s what we have kids for. They dodged a bullet today. Thanks, chicken guy! He is also on the lookout for some fawn or silver duckwing OEGBs for me. If he doesn’t find anything he will have hatching eggs in the spring for me.

Steady rain most of the day so pretty much nothing but regular chores accomplished.
Should get those other chicks all moved around tomorrow.
