I'm gonna try to start getting a few pics here and there when I get the chance but first...

For those of you that are new here....
Moony is very unreliable about taking and posting pics. Furthermore he sucks at pic taking. If the bird isn't blurry and is actually in the pic consider that a win...

First I'll get some of the beaters out of the way while I hone my skills. Yeah yeah these boys look rough and I think all are between 2 and 5 years old.

Pictures! No way!

Did all their points get frost bitten off?
Yes. The lucky ones just lose their points. Some lose more and some lose points the first winter then more the second.

The bigger combs don't loose those points here where I am. Some places up in northern AZ. might though, as it gets colder there and they get snow in winter..

Got all the youngsters moved that I wanted to for now.
Moved the last of the ones in brooders in chick house to garage pen.
Moved mudroom chicks to brooder in chick house and bedroom chicks to mudroom. Planned for them to go to chick house in another week or so.
Plan was all coming together but then I noticed garage chicks have a bit of range in sizes. Dark here now so not much I can do now. Hope no one gets too picked on while I'm at work tomorrow.
Will evaluate situation when I get home. Few options I guess.
Leave it be and hope no issues. Pull the biggest and move but the next size up pullet and cockerel pen is pretty much max capacity. Pull smallest chicks and maybe just pullet chicks and move back to another brooder. That will leave the last ones in brooders to be a sizable group and I might not have pen space for that group.
Maybe move littles then take few weeks to move on some cockerels to make room for biggest ones in garage to move up then put littles back.
Decisions, decisions, it's always decisions
