The Moonshiner's Leghorns

The bigger combs don't loose those points here where I am. Some places up in northern AZ. might though, as it gets colder there and they get snow in winter..
Ya if they weren't so ugly I'd probably have gotten into the rose comb Leghorns

But rosecomb is pretty. Granted not as pretty as a single or even a good pea comb.
A pea comb? Really?
One of the problems is people will cross rose and single together and get ringle combs and then wonder why they're ugly. Because you can really tell if they carry the single comb gene.

Hey I like pea combs. I didn't mean cross them in any way.

Iggerant question here. If they have a pea comb do they lay blue eggs? 🤔
The pea comb gene and blue egg gene are linked. However, linkage goes both ways and if you break the linkage, the single comb gene and blue egg gene can be linked (like in Legbars.)

Um ... is that a yes or a no?
No not always. Brahma have pea combs and do not lay blue eggs.
Thanks, that helps.
